Why people choose invisible grills
Conventional welded grills block the view, rust over time and date the look of a facade. Invisible grills keep the sightline clear from inside, which matters most in apartments bought for the view.
They also satisfy societies and developers that prohibit external grill projections, because the cables sit inside the opening and do not alter the elevation.
Specification
- Vertical stainless steel cables, typically spaced around 3 inches apart for child safety.
- Aluminium top and bottom tracks fixed into structure.
- Cable tension set individually so each line is straight and evenly loaded.
- Optional mosquito or bird mesh fitted behind the cables where insects or birds are also a concern.
Invisible grill or safety net?
Choose an invisible grill when appearance and the view matter most, and you want a rigid, low-maintenance barrier. Choose a safety net when budget is the priority or when the opening is irregular in shape.
For bird control specifically, an invisible grill alone does not exclude pigeons — the cable spacing is far wider than a pigeon. Add a bird mesh behind the cables if birds are the actual problem.
Maintenance
Stainless steel cables need very little care: wipe them down occasionally and check tension once a year. Because there is no paint, there is nothing to repaint and no rust bleed onto the wall below.
